Questions, answered
Does it tell callers it's an AI?
Yes, on every call. It starts: "Hi, thanks for calling [your business], I'm Alex, an AI assistant. This call is transcribed." Then your own greeting. You can change its name, but not this part.
Can I keep my phone number?
Yes. You forward the calls you can't answer to your receptionist with a short code on your phone. Your customers ring you as now. Or you can get a new local number instead.
How long does it take to set up?
A few minutes to set it up and talk to it in your browser. UK phone numbers are only given to checked businesses, so the phone network checks your business first. That usually takes up to 3 days. We text you when your line is ready.
What happens with urgent calls?
It marks the message as urgent and texts it to your mobile straight away. While you're open, it can put the caller through to your phone. For trades, it also tells callers what to do about a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm.
Can it book into my own diary?
Yes. Use its built-in diary, or connect Cal.com, Cliniko, Calendly, Acuity Scheduling, SimplyBook.me, Semble, Pabau or ServiceM8. With Google Calendar or Outlook, paste your calendar's private link so it can see when you're busy. It only offers free times.
Which languages does it speak?
English and other languages. You choose which ones it offers.
Who owns my callers' details?
You do. We act as your processor under UK GDPR. You choose how long call transcripts are kept, from 7 days up to 2 years.
What does it cost?
A monthly plan, paid in advance, with a set number of call minutes. The prices are in Pricing above. There's no contract: cancel any time and your plan ends at the end of the month you paid for.
